Brief Introduction to Jinjiang

　　Jinjiang is a beautiful coastal city, located in the southeastern coast of Fujian Province. It faces Taiwan across the Taiwan Straits with sea on three sides.

　　Jinjiang, reputed as a coastal cultural hub, is an important starting point city of the Maritime Silk Road. It has become a melting pot of diverse cultures like Central Plains culture, oceanic culture, Minnan culture, overseas Chinese culture and religious culture. Jinjiang owns several key cultural relics, such as Anping Bridge, Cao'an Manichean Temple, Longshan Temple and the ancient kilns in Cizao, all of which reflect the rich history and splendid culture of Jinjiang.

　　Anping Bridge, a masterpiece of ancient bridge construction, is the longest ancient bridge that still stands in China. Cao'an Temple, as well as the stone statue of Mani, is the only extant Manichean relic in China. The ancient kilns in Cizao are the remains of the important kilns that manufactured export-oriented porcelain in Quanzhou during the Song and Yuan Dynasties (960-1368).

　　In addition to its rich culture, Jinjiang is also renowned for its thriving economy. With its active private sector, Jinjiang has been ranked as a top 10 richest county-level city in China for 17 consecutive years. Jinjiang has developed two hundred-billion-level industrial clusters of apparel and footwear. At the same time, it also has five ten-billion-level industrial clusters of ceramics for construction, food and beverage, paper products, equipment manufacturing and chemical fiber.

　　In 2017 Jinjiang achieved a GDP of 198.15 billion yuan, with 46 listed companies, 42 well-known Chinese trademarks, 822 enterprises with output value exceeding 100 million yuan, and famous enterprises such as Anta, Heng'an, Lilanz, Panpan, Septwolves, Xtep and K-boxing. Anta, a leading sporting goods company in China, last year became the official partner of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Heng'an Group is China's largest manufacturer of sanitary napkins and diapers. Lilanz is the leading brand of business menswear and has been displayed on many occasions in fashion weeks including Paris and Milan.

　　In Jinjiang there are many places worth visiting, such as Wudianshi Traditional Culture Block, Anping Bridge, Zimao Mountain, Yakou Coastal Resort, Jinjing Weitou Village—the No.1 village beside the Straits, etc.

　　Moreover, Jinjiang boasts plenty of special snacks, such as the crispy and tender Anhai turnip cake, the smooth and bouncy sea worm jelly, the chewy fist-like meatball and the fragrant oyster omelet.

　　晋江是一座美丽的滨海城市，地处福建东南沿海，与台湾一水之隔，三面临海。

　　除了文化，晋江的经济实力也不容小觑。晋江已经连续十七年位列全国百强县前十，是中国民营经济活跃地区之一。晋江已形成纺织服装、制鞋两个千亿产业集群，同时还拥有建材陶瓷、食品饮料、纸制品、装备制造、化纤五个百亿产业集群。

　　2017年，晋江实现地区生产总值1981.50亿元，拥有46家上市公司，中国驰名商标42件，产值超亿元企业822家，拥有安踏、恒安、利郎、盼盼、七匹狼、特步、劲霸等著名企业。安踏是中国领先的体育用品企业，去年，安踏成为北京2022年冬奥会和冬残奥会官方合作伙伴；恒安集团是中国最大的妇女卫生巾和婴儿纸尿裤生产企业；利郎是中国商务男装领军品牌，多次登上巴黎时装周、米兰时装周……

　　在晋江，更有很多地方值得游客去走一走，例如五店市传统文化街区、安平桥景区、紫帽山、衙口滨海度假区、“海峡第一村”金井围头村等。
